As we all know by now, it was during the mid 1700s that the world famous Black Forest cuckoo clock, famed for its beauty and craftsmanship, originated in the deep and cold black forest region of Germany and Bavaria.
The mechanical movements with which these clocks are fitted have to be winded up once every 1 day or 8 days. Whenever the clock strikes a full hour, the beautifully crafted designer door will fly open and the self important cuckoo imperiously seated on a perch will busily call out the number of hours.
